Kim Kennedy, Architect

Kim grew up in the small town of Franklin, KY. She left her roots to receive an education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2002.
Following graduation she worked for Charlotte architectural firm Jenkins + Peer before joining Cox Architecture where she learned and fell in love with the craft of residential architecture. In 2005, she relocated with her husband (Craig) to Nashville where she continued her passion for residential design at Bauer Askew Architects participating in award winning residential projects. Kim earned her architectural license from the state of Kentucky in 2009 and is also licensed in Tennessee.
In 2009, Kim and founding partner Tim formed Bootstrap Architecture and Construction. A collaborative design and construction process has allowed Kim to ensure the clients vision is integrated into the project from start to finish.
Kim enjoys being involved in the Nashville community, specifically in East Nashville where she lives. She is active in the planning and visioning for outreach events at East End United Methodist Church and serves as a co-leader to Girl Scout Troop #27.
In additional to her professional life, Kim enjoys the roller coaster of life with Craig and two daughters, Maeve and Brynn.
