6th Avenue Renovation
Historic. Located in the Historic Germantown neighborhood of Nashville, this house is one of the oldest homes in the area dating back to the mid 1800’s. The process involved re-booting 150 years of renovations, additions, and periods of neglect. After cleaning away the coal dust, the historic home boasts 15’ ceilings, numerous fireplaces, expansive windows and doors, and original heart pine floors. Preservation of these spaces and features was critical but blending the new two-story addition, housing all the modern amenities of a 21st century life was the challenge.
